Christian Education Team

This ministry works to structure and implement Christian Education for all ages, children through adults. Our primary areas of focus include:

Selecting curriculum to meet faith building educational needs for all stages of life throughout the congregation.
Coordinating and training volunteers to act as mentors and teachers as well as support and challenge each of us to make sure that we are growing in our knowledge of Christ through this education.
Engaging in service projects and event ministry along with fun and fellowship activities that help intergenerational growth in faith while showing God’s light by our words and actions.
Responsibility for the nursery program.

Word of God Lutheran Church welcomed and hosted 12 special friends for 3 nights of Bible Study, music, crafts, service projects, fellowship, and snacks. It was a remarkable event! During our evenings together, 6 blankets were assembled for Lutheran World Relief. Granola bars and candy bars were counted and bagged for the Midwest Food Bank. It was an amazing productive and joyful time. On average, 23 volunteers, from Word of God and Young Life Capernaum, were helping hands each night. The Holy Spirit was truly present in and through each of the participants and volunteers.
