Real Life Center Mobile Food Pantry

Each month we team up with other area churches and the Real Life Center and participate in the Mobile Food Pantry.  At the mobile food pantry we unload a food distribution truck from the Atlanta Food Bank and sort the food into stations.  Residents in Fayette County who are in need drive from station to station while we place food in their car and talk to them a little bit at each station.  At the end of the day we take down the stations and return the space to a normal parking lot.

The Mobile Food Pantry is held at Grace Evangelical Church on Flat Creek Trail.

Real Life Center Christmas Dinners

Each year we pack Christmas Dinners for local families in need.  The dinners are packed at our sanctuary by congregation members.  We pack them into a pickup truck and deliver them to the Real Life Center where they can be distributed.

Included in each Christmas Dinner bag is:

  • 1 Ham
  • Boxed potatoes
  • Canned sweet potatoes
  • Several cans of vegetables
  • Boxed desert
  • Homemade Christmas Card from the congregation
Real Life Center Warehouse

We are happy to serve in the Real Life Center warehouse each month.  Some months we sort canned food goods into the year that the foods expire or have expired.  Other months we sort clothing that has been donated by members of the community.  Other months we help stock the shelves in their food pantry and help move pallets around in their warehouse.  Fellowship between our members and the Real Life Center employees is always a priority in the warehouse.

Laundry Soap Project: A frequently requested item is laundry soap. Each quarter we are providing 75 cases of liquid laundry soap to meet the needs of the families served.

Coweta Pregnancy Center

We support the Coweta Pregnancy Center in multiple ways.  Each year, we provide the pregnancy center with donations of diapers, onesies, and other items of which they have need.  We have a small team of individuals who purchase these items and deliver them to the center.

Our congregation is also involved in their annual Baby Bottle Fundraiser campaign.  Between Mother's Day and Father's Day each year we receive Baby Bottles from the pregnancy center and challenge our members to fill the bottles with coins.  On Father's Day we collect all the bottles and return the donations to the pregnancy center.  Each year our congregation typically finds over $1,000 worth of change in our lives that we donate!

Redeemer Soup Kitchen - Atlanta
Redeemer Soup Kitchen - Atlanta

Redeemer Soup Kitchen is a ministry we have served with for the last four years. We serve lunch to approximately 180-220 people each visit. We also provide socks, chap-stick, lotion and several other items as needed. It is a great time to share a smile or kind word with someone going through a tough time while providing them with a healthy meal. Join us any fifth Monday or Tuesday.

Newnan-Coweta Habitat for Humanity

This ministry has built 70 homes since their founding in 1994. Word of God supported their project in April-May 2015 by supplying the funding to purchase kitchen cabinets.

Newnan-Coweta Habitat for Humanity
Healing Bridge Clinic

This clinic, located in Peachtree City provides free routine, non-emergency primary medical care and nursing care for the uninsured and underinsured in Fayette, Coweta, and south Fulton counties. We support their mission by providing volunteer nursing care, purchasing medical supplies and providing meals to the volunteers.

Our church is traditionally grounded in the biblical witness.  We are members of the LCMC and the NALC.  Our congregation began in 2010 and mission is at the core of who we are.
