The Fish Stix Ministry was developed in 2011 to serve the Coweta and Fayette County adult special needs community. The ministry leaders and volunteers strive to provide quality, age-appropriate programming for its diverse group of differently-abled participants.

The Fish Stix Ministry oversees several programs:

Fish Sunday School – Come join us on Sunday mornings during the Sunday School hour. Our small group Sunday School class meets to rehearse and warm-up for Worship.

Fish Stix (Devotion in Motion) Large Group – This large group meets one evening a month in our church Sanctuary for rehearsals. The Fish Stix (Devotion in Motion) use contemporary Christian songs to teach choreographed movements using dowel rods as props. Our goal is to learn the choreography so that the group can take this worship skill into the community and present our songs to different churches and community organizations. Pathways 2 (P2) – Pathways 2 is a small group Bible study for our quiet, less verbal and non-verbal participants. The group meets once a month to strengthen the participants' faith and Bible comprehension through Bible study, crafts, and fellowship.

Friday Night Fun Night  (FNFN)– The 2^nd  Friday night of the month is for our FNFN activities. This event is two hours of fun and fellowship! Our participants and their friends gather to play indoor and outdoor games, have snacks, and enjoy each other’s company. This is a great time for parents and guardians to have some respite time while we are having FUN!

Joy in the Morning Jam (JIM Jam) Band - Our newest group meets on Wednesdays from 10-11 AM. We are making music with Orff xylophones and hand chimes. 

Fish Stix Annual Vacation Bible School – Since 2015, our Fish Stix Ministry Team has created a vacation Bible school with specific programming for our special adults. The second week of July is filled with Bible study, skits, singing, crafts, service projects, and recreation. It is definitely a highlight of the calendar year for our participants, staff, and church and community volunteers. Registration is limited to 36 participants and opens at the beginning of May.
